Boat Survey in England and Wales

Miss Molly Cruises ...

Miss Molly Cruises Ltd. can offer you a full Small Craft Surveying service for private inland and coastal vessels up to 24m in length. If you are looking for a pre-purchase standard condition survey then look no further and contact Miss Molly Cruises for an informal discussion on your requirements and our business terms.

It is very important to know the condition of the boat you are thinking of buying. To do so you will need to engage a qualified marine surveyor to conduct a pre-purchase survey. If the pre-purchase survey identifies serious defects the buyer should then be able to re-negotiate a lower price, have the repairs made or withdraw from the contract. Whereas, should you buy without a survey, you will almost certainly have no comeback if you then find something seriously wrong with the boat - even if you buy through a dealer you might not be able to cover all your loss. You will need a survey to insure your boat.

We are available for private surveys, at short notice and cover the North West of England and North Wales.

Terms and conditions;
Prices range from £400 to £600 and the first 40 miles of travel each way to the site of the vessel is included in the price. A private yacht or boat agreement survey is drawn up and signed before the survey takes place. The terms are for one single day visit to the vessel at a convenient hard standing at a time to be mutually agreed with the Client. The pre-purchase standard condition survey report is made available to the client/prospective purchaser within 5 working days of the survey.

Our Director Mr David Tresh qualified as a Boat Surveyor in 2010 after a one week Small Craft Surveying course held at Plymouth University.
